When I worked at Disneyland, my restaurant served the most scrumptious, creamy, smooth chocolate parfait. It had about five layers of different chocolate mousse, a layer of crushed Oreo cookies, and was topped off with a chocolate shaped Mickey. Since I had no hope of ever making any thing that came anywhere close to being as tasty as that chocolate parfait, I decided to make my own yogurt parfait, and add chocolate to it.
It was definitely healthier. It was creamy and smooth, but it wasn't the same. I added fresh blueberries and strawberries.
I waded through around 5,000 pictures looking for a picture of my Disneyland chocolate parfait but couldn't find one. Those pictures bring back so many crazy, chaotic, happy memories. I miss that place.
In a glass, I added a layer of vanilla yogurt, a layer of cut up strawberries, a layer of yogurt, a layer of blueberries, a layer of yogurt, and sprinkled on a few more blueberries and dusted the top with chocolate shavings. I took a bar of chocolate I found in the pantry, grated it, and put the fresh gratings on top.
Simple, easy, quick, and refreshing!
