March 3: National Free Pancake Day at IHOP

I've celebrated this day for the past two years so I was excited to celebrate again this year. However, Free Pancake Day at IHOP is way more popular in SoCal than it is in the college town I went to. But it did not disappoint. Of course, I had to get more food than just the free pancakes they serve you. I went with two friends who did the same. Needless to say, we had quite a full table of food.

Free pancakes!

All of our food (for three people).

What remained of our free pancakes.

Leftovers. YUM!

I ate a very small amount of food including: two over easy eggs, hash browns, two strips of bacon, four slices of french toast, and three small pancakes ;-)  We were quite full. While this is "free" pancake day, donations raise money for an organization, this year it was Children's Miracle Network. It feels even better to eat pancakes knowing that the money goes towards helping children.

Quote from my friend: "I don't normally eat pancakes, but these were delicious. Today at breakfast I was served three whole plates of food. I'd call that a success!"  Note: My friend would like everyone to know that she did not finish all three plates of food. Note: I did not finish all my food either. Looking forward to eating leftovers for breakfast tomorrow!
