April 8: National All Is Ours Day

National All Is Ours Day is a day to reflect and appreciate everything you have. It is a day to be thankful.

I'm thankful for a lot because I know exactly how lucky I am.

I have a great family. And amazing friends.

I have a college degree.

I FREAKIN' WORKED AT DISNEYLAND. Seriously, some days were absolutely crazy but I loved every chaotic moment of it. I will forever be thankful for those 5 months and the amazing people I met.

I have a job.

I have a safe and warm place to sleep.

I have enough food to eat. I've never had to worry about when my next meal will be.

I own and operate my own online business.

I can read. So many people don't get the opportunity to go to school. Many more can not even read. It's a privilege I believe many take for granted.

I've had the opportunity to travel a lot. I've ridden elephants in Thailand. I've walked on the Great Wall of China. I've swam with sharks and stingrays in the Caribbean. And I've even ogled the cute lederhosen-clad young men in Austria! (Seriously - Austrian young men wearing lederhosen are SO attractive!)

I lost a dear friend of mine one and a half years ago. I've woken up every morning since then thankful for my life and all I have.

And tonight I'm thankful for the bottle of vodka, Kahlua, and Bailey's Irish Cream I have sitting on my counter. And I'm thankful that two of my good friends will be joining me for Frozen Mudslides this evening. Just keepin' it real!

So leave a comment! What are you thankful for? I am thankful for people who leave comments (hint!) You can even leave one anonymously if you would like to.

  2. That's a great list of all your thankful for! Im thankful for my supportive family, a few close friends scattered here and there(wish a couple hadn't moved away), my pet bunny Alto(such a sweet, soft and funny guy). I love my peaceful home and gorgeous view(best sunrises). Im thankful for every single person who has helped me learn and grow throughout the years. Thankful for all the trips and adventures Ive been on. Thankful for receiving food stamps and a small allowance from my parents that allows me to stay at home the last few years and combat my depression and anxiety/stress I had from working and going to school. I wouldn't mind a Mudslide myself!
