February 13: National Tortellini and Blame Someone Else Day

Loyal blog follower, Lynda, sent an email to my family blaming my dad for the lack of snow, therefore lack of skiing. Apparently he hasn't been doing the snow dance correctly. While I am not quite sure what a snow dance looks like, I am sure that I never want to see my dad do a snow dance. Needless to say, someone has to be blamed for the lack of snow around here.

My mom always "reminds" me that I only need one drinking cup a day. I am notorious for using four or five different cups a day and putting none of them in the dishwasher. I decided to fill up four different cups with water and leave them around the kitchen. A little while later, I heard my mom asking me which cup I was actually using. I blamed my dad. While mom failed to see that I was playing a joke on her, my dad, once again got blamed.

Water cup 1.

Water cup 2.

Water cup 3.

And water cup 4.

In honor of National Tortellini Day, we had tortellini for dinner. We mixed it with shrimp and home-made pesto. I guess I could have been super cool and made the tortellini from scratch, but that seemed like a little too much effort for me.

Auntie Mae supervises.

So much goodness in one place.

  1. I think the whole day should be called National Blame everything on Rod day! We all know that you can take it Rod, because we all know you can give it right back. Seriously Rod, you are such a cool guy......so spread some of that cool around, shake your booty and make it snow!!!!!
